Nadal Inuury News : Rafael Nadal's Foot Scan Shows No Damage


Some good news for fans of Rafael Nadal who will now be able to defend his Wimbledon crown after he was given the all-clear following an MRI scan.

Earlier on Monday evening, Rafael Nadal got injured after he hurt his left foot during his gruelling fourth-round win over Juan Martin Del Potro.

At one point of time it looked that Nadal might not be able to defend his title.

But now, after the scans on his left foot showed no serious damage, he is all set to defend his title.

After the match, Nadal had gone for an MRI at a London hospital.

Nadal will now face Mardy Fish in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.

During the match against Juan Martin Del Potro, Nadal got hurt near the end of the first set after suffering the injury while hitting a routine forehand. After the match, Nadal admitted that he had came close to retiring hurt but, after having tape applied to the affected area to redirect the pain, he scrapped on with the injury to take a 7-6, (8/6) 3-6, 7-6, (7/4) 6-4 victory.

Earlier also Nadal has suffered from injury problems, most notably was when his long-standing knee complaints forced him to abandon the defence of his 2008 Wimbledon title.
