Yesterday, June 27, Toyota launched its much awaited entry-level 1.2 litre petrol hatchback car, the Toyota Etios Liva in India.
Toyota Etios Liva is priced between Rs3.99 lakh to Rs5.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car has been priced agressively to compete with Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20 and a variant of the i10, Chevy Beat, Ford Figo and Honda Jazz, which are already there in the market.
Etios Liva is powered by a 1.2 litre engine that delivers a maximum power of 80Ps and 104Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Toyota claims the Liva returns a mileage of 18.31kmpl.
The car will be available in J, G, G SE, V and VX variants. Please find below price of each variant below.
J Variant - 3.99 lakh
G Variant - 4.59 lakh
G SE Variant - 5.05 lakh
V Variant - 5.49 lakh
VX Variant - 5.99 lakh
The car will be available in seven colors – Vermillion Red, Celestial Black, Serene Bluish Silver, White, Symphony Silver, Harmony Beige and Ultramarine Blue.
The launch of the car was done by Hiroji Onishi , President Toyota Motor Asia Pacific (TMAP)
Toyota, the world’s largest car maker, is hoping to drive in the volumes with Liva, its cheapest product in India. It is built on the Etios sedan platform.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) expects to sell 20,000 units of Toyota Liva in India this calendar year.
