Today baggage of bollywood actress Anushka Sharma who won the Best Actress Award at the IIFA Awards 2011 held in Toronto, was verified at Mumbai Airport while she was returning home after attending the IIFA Awards 2011 which were held in Canada.
"She was not detained. She claimed that she was carrying some watches and jewelry, so we were verifying that. So, she was delayed at the airport," a customs official told news reporters.
Her spokesperson said, “Anushka is not being interrogated by customs. She was carrying various accessories that were given by various brands to her. Anushka is only at the customs only to sign the formal paperwork for the borrowed accessories.”
Anushka, who played a lively wedding planner in the movie “Band Baaja Baraat”, received the Best Actress Award.
Anushka made her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Yah Raj’s `Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi`. She has also worked with Shahid Kapoor in `Badmash Company`.
