KANO, Nigeria, June 26 : Breaking News of the moment comes from Northern Nigeria where three bombs exploded killing atleast 25 people and wounding 12 others.
The incident took place in Nigeria's Maiduguri city where suspected Islamists hurled bombs and fired on a beer garden, said police authorities.
As per the witnesses, two men came on motorbikes and sped away after the shock attack.
"The attackers, believed to be Boko Haram members, threw bombs and fired indiscriminate gun shots on a packed tavern at Dala Kabompi neighbourhood, killing at least 25 people and seriously injuring around 30 others," a police superintendent said.
The same group has been behind series of hit-and-run attacks targeting police and military personnel, politicians and community and religious leaders.
Earlier in past also the same group has carried out bomb attacks on police stations, churches, bars and staged a prison raid.
The same group claimed responsibility for a May 29 bomb attack on a beer garden in a military barracks in northern Bauchi city that killed 13 people and injured 30 others.
The group has also claimed responsibility for the June 16 bomb attack on police headquarters in the Nigerian capital Abuja that killed at least two, including a policeman, saying their target was the national police chief.
